The Lakeshore Chamber Music Society kicked off its 52nd season on Oct. 19 with a Brahms, Beethoven and Mozart concert by musicians Brent Besner, Pierre-Alain Bouvrette and Louis Dominique Roy. The society has six shows left in its 2012-2013 program and the next one takes place on Nov. 16.

The next one will be played by Trio Creo with Martin Karlicek (piano), Mana Shiraishi (violin) and Yuki Isami (flute). On the menu: works by Telemann, Kummer, Cui, Ibert, Bach, Bonis and Martinu.

"This show features some of the best composers of chamber music for trios," said the society's artistic director Selima Mohammed.

The Trio takes on the entire repertoire for flute, violin and piano; this unusual ensemble combination brings new variety of sound textures into the concert hall. The flute and the violin, both “soloist” instruments with similar pitch range can blend into one another or stand against each other in a vivid discourse that always retains the charm of the unpredictable.

All society concerts are held on Fridays in Union Church (24 Maple Ave., Ste. Anne de Bellevue) at 7:30 p.m. with the exception of the April 14 show which will take place at 2 p.m. For further information, please call 514-457-5280 or visit the society's website at www.lcmssmcl.ca.
