The 57th annual Salon des métiers d’art is underway and Montreal will shine the spotlight on artisans and their passion.

From December 7 to 22, more than 400 craftspeople will come together at Place Bonaventure in Montreal, allowing visitors to discover their abundant talent, creativity and imagination. They will share the passion that drives them and that translates into stunning pieces. The works, unique and meticulously produced, are a testament to the high quality of our local artisans and their commitment to their art. They will also be pleased to chat with you about what they do, as you browse through hand-crafted pieces of exceptional beauty. You’ll learn not only about the background of the works but also about the processes involved in their creation. It’s a rare opportunity to gain insight into the DNA of our very best artists.

Fashion and accessories, jewellery, home décor items, table arts, and much more—come experience the passion of these artists in all of its forms and through a multitude of practical and decorative items that you simply won’t find anywhere else. There is no better example of the benefits of buying locally.

Among the must-see attractions is the Quartier Mode, which brings together recognized and widely respected designers who turn their inventiveness into creating and producing one-of-a-kind pieces of clothing. L’espace Tendances is where you’ll find the latest tendencies in a range of specialties. 7e Ciel is an exclusive section offering highly select and collection pieces. And the Bougeotte is the place to find a number of exhibitors who will only be at the Salon for a few days!
