Proceeds from the sale of street signs will benefit local non-profit organizations.
The city of Dorval will begin selling old street signs located in the southern sector tomorrow.
Orders will be made on a first-come, first-served basis. Each sign costs $10 and all the money will be given to Dorval’s Community Aid or to non-profit organizations.Once the specific urban souvenir is removed from the municipal environment, the person who reserved it will be contacted and will be able to take it home.
The sale of street signs of the northern sector (north of Highway 20), which began in early June, is still ongoing, as several dozen street signs are still available.
It is prohibited for anyone to take down the current street signs in Dorval.
Violators are subject to a fine.
People interested in purchasing a sign can do so by calling the city of Dorval at 514-633-4040.
