Outdoor play 'Harry the King' set for July 24

Aris Tyros plays the titular character, King Harry V, in ‘Harry the King: The Famous Victories of Henry V.’

As part of its free summer programming, the City of Dorval will present the play “Harry the King, the famous victories of Henry V” on July 24, 7 p.m. at Pine Beach Park.

This theatrical production, performed by Repercussion Theatre, is an adaption of William Shakespeare’s historical plays Henry IV and Henry V.

This story follows Prince Henry, who seems to be doing everything a young prince shouldn’t. But when he’s called upon to become King, he rises to the occasion, uniting a country and inspiring a nation.

This is a play for the whole family about leadership and honour, about fathers and sons, about love and laughter, and about fighting for what you believe in, despite impossible odds.

Bring your lawn chair to watch this play comfortably or rent one on site for one dollar.

In case of rain, the show will be held at the Serge Nolet auditorium of Dorval-Jean XXIII high school (1301 Dawson Avenue).

This special evening is presented by the City of Dorval, in collaboration with the Conseil des arts de Montréal en tournée.
