This Friday June 5th is World Environment Day and all over the world people will be watching HOME, the documentary by Yann Arthus-Bertrand. This movie presents our home, planet Earth, in its current state and in every perspective. In its world premiere, this movie will be presented for free in more than 100 countries, and the Coop will take part in this event by presenting HOME as a "movie in the park", in its own garden starting at 9:00pm Friday night.

In 200,000 years on Earth, humanity has upset the balance of the planet, established by nearly four billion years of evolution. The price to pay is high, but it is too late to be a pessimist: humanity has barely ten years to reverse the trend, become aware of the full extent of its spoliation of the Earth's riches and change its patterns of consumption.

By offering us never before seen aerial images of more than 50 countries, in sharing his astonishment as well as his concern for the state of the world, Yann Arthus-Bertrand adds, with this film, a stone to the monument that we must, together, rebuild.
