Station 3, Car theft

Topics :
Roxboro

Police are warning commuters to be careful after a 20-year-old Dollard des Ormeaux resident accustomed to parking his car in the Roxboro train station parking lot had it stolen on Oct. 19.

Station 3 media relations officer Dan Maheu said the youth parked his four-door Toyota Yaris 2008 in the lot that morning, and hopped on a train. When he returned later that day to retrieve it, it was gone. "There were no witnesses or any evidence on location," Maheu said.

The car did not have any alarm systems or external locks either, according to Maheu.
