Do you know where the best picnic spot in the West Island is? What about that perfect terrace to unwind on after a long day at work? And we’re sure you all have your favourite places to go grab a cup'o joe, a couple of steamies, or a slice of pizza.
The Chronicle wants to shine a light on some of the West Island’s finest and the key to the success of this project is community participation.
Starting in June, a team of intrepid taste-testers and spot-selectors will set out to determine some of the best foods to eat and places to be in the West Island, and is looking for your submissions in 12 categories.
From Ste. Anne de Bellevue to Dorval, Senneville to Pointe Claire, and everything in between, tell us about your favourite hot dogs, French fries, pizza, General Tao chicken, hot beverage (coffee, tea, etc.), chicken wings, and ice cream, and point us to the best watering holes, places to catch the big game, terraces, scenic views, and family destinations.
We will then set out to painstakingly test all suggestions to ultimately come up with the Best of the West.
The winners of each category will be printed in The Chronicle every week from June 18 to Sept. 3. We will be starting off with the best pizza, so make sure to get your submissions in by June 11.
