The excitement for this team started not the weekend of January 16th/2009 but many days prior to that.

The enthusiasm all the boys had to spend together was unbelievable.

As parents to watch our team bond was amazing.

It was wonderful to see how the team played on the ice. They did not lose any of their games. Yet, what was more important is how they played as a team.

After the celebration on the ice, Mr. Dan Ellis spoke to the team in their dressing room.

He thanked the team for showing a lot of class on the ice. Seeing the look on their faces, he went on to explain what class means.

He explained to them that although they scored a few goals into their first period throughout the tournament, they did not take advantage of the situation. They went on playing as a team by their constant passing of the puck.

Though winning is what many of us want, respect and team effort is the foundation of good sportsmanship.
