Police are looking for three men allegedly involved in an assault at a Dorval park last Friday. On June 15 at 9:30 p.m., the two male victims, a 36-year-old and a 49-year-old from Dorval, said they saw the three suspects trying to break a lamppost in Ballantyne Park.

The victims approached the men to tell them to stop, Const. Liliana Bellucci of Montreal police Station 5 said. After a brief exchange of words, one of the suspects squirted pepper spray in the faces of both men, Bellucci said. A second assailant tried to punch one of the victims, while the third suspect watched.

Following the attack, the trio fled on foot through the Ferndale Crescent park. The first suspect is described as English-speaking, 17 years old, five-foot-six, 125 pounds and has short blond hair. The second is around 18 years old, English-speaking, six-feet tall and has short dark brown hair, while the third man is English-speaking, about 18 years old, five-foot-10 and has long brown hair.

Graffiti bust

Police arrested a Pierrefonds teen who allegedly left 400 “tags” of graffiti across the West Island. On June 13 at about 10 p.m., Station 3 police received a call from a citizen who saw somebody lurking behind a store on St. Charles Boulevard, Const. Dan Maheu said.

When officers arrived at the scene they saw a teen speed off on a bicycle. Police caught up with the suspect and searched his backpack. Inside, Maheu said they found a can of spray paint and attachments to change the stream for different variations of tags. The 17-year-old was arrested for mischief and admitted to leaving hundreds of tags in the region, Maheu said. “He was really active,” he said. “It was a good arrest for us. It will be the end of that (particular) graffiti in Pierrefonds.
