Internationally acclaimed Canadian nature photographer Christopher Dodds will present an evening of images and stories of adventure March 9 at John Abbott College in Ste. Anne de Bellevue to benefit Hudson's Le Nichoir Wild Bird Rehabilitation Centre.
Donations and events are the main source of funding for the centre, and with the help of Christopher Dodds, Le Nichoir hopes to raise money to help cover some of the costs of bird care for this coming spring.
The event will be entertaining and informative to all; nature lovers and photographers alike. Stories of adventure, natural history facts and information are all on the menu. Over one hundred of his images will be projected, with many being displayed for the first time.
“We are very fortunate to have Chris generously donate his time again this year. In 2011 when Chris last came to Le Nichoir, the event was very well received and we sold out of tickets in only 2 weeks. This fundraiser is a great opportunity to introduce Le Nichoir to a new audience and offer people a casual, inexpensive fun night out” says Susan Wylie, Le Nichoir’s executive director.
Advance tickets are $18 with all proceeds going to benefit Le Nichoir. Area businesses Les Delices de Dawn and Timberlea Veterinary Clinic are sponsoring a coffee and dessert intermission and an opportunity to meet with Chris. A raffle and door prizes will also on tap.
The event is set for John Abbott College's Casgrain Theatre March 9 at 6:30 p.m. John Abbott College is located at 21275 Lakeshore Rd. in Ste. Anne de Bellevue. The campus is accessible by car from Lakeshore Road and Highway 40.
