Could Mark Streit be the smartest guy in the NHL? Despite signing a 5-year $20.5 million dollar deal, he's still tooling around Long Island in a Ford Taurus in a world of luxury SUVs. Streit is living large with serious icetime though...more time per game than Markov has with the Habs.

I love Marc Trestman's decision to give Marcus Brady the start in Edmonton and I say that even after the loss. It was the right thing to do. Sure wish the defense put together a better performance though!

Mitch Fritz is jacked up for the Fritz Family Grey Cup Reunion. The 6'8" 250-pounder (he's shed some weight for the "New NHL" he jokes) was told only a few hours before game-time that he'd start against the Canadiens. And even before a possible confrontation with Georges Laraque, the brother of Luke Fritz is amped for a roadtrip to Montreal that would coincide with Grey Cup Sunday and then a game at the Bell Centre against the Canadiens on Monday and November 24th just happens to be Mitch's birthday as well.

Imagine the Canadiens are 1 of only 3 teams in the NHL that have not suffered a regulation road loss yet and they still haven't hit their A-game.
