Montreal Canadiens

Ladies, welcome back to the 5th edition of we talk hockey. This week’s topic is definitely the most intriguing thus far. We will be discussing the potential future of our Habs. Bob Gainey’s decision making and negotiation skills will make or break our hopes to be a legitimate contender for one of the most coveted trophy in sports. As of today, the Montreal Canadiens have 10 UFAs (unrestricted free agents) and 5 RFAs (restricted free agents). If you were elected to be the Montréal’s new GM, who would you sign? Who would you trade, or try to trade? Our UFAs: Tanguay, Koivu, Kovy, Lang, Kostopoulos, Bouillon, Dandenault, Komisarek, Shneider, and Brisebois. Our RFAs: Higgins, Plecky, Latendresse, D’Agostini, and Stewart. Bob has a lot of work to do in our “rebuilding” phase. Sadly enough, we have been rebuilding for over 5 years now, have made a full circle back to the starting line, and that, without ever passing the second round of the playoffs. With the situation being as fragile as it is, what would YOU do?

i would put my efforts on keeping komisarek tanguay ad kovalev. i think its time for koivu to go, he has been great and i thank him for everythjing hes done. i would go above and beyond to bring lecavalier to montreal if it was really possible, and then i would give whatever it takes to bring bouwmeester to montreal and if all fails i sign beauchemin
