Station 5 (serving Pointe Claire and Dorval):

When police responded to a call about a fire in a Pointe Claire townhouse, they found something they didn't expect to find – a marijuana grow operation in the home. Montreal police Station 5 Const. Helene Jubinville said police responded to a fire call  Sept. 30 at 4:30 a.m. to a home on Sedgefield Avenue, and after it was determined that the fire was under control and that it was caused by an electrical problem, police discovered a number of pot plants growing on the premises, Jubinville said. Narcotics investigators took over the case at that point, Jubinville said, adding the tenants have not yet been identified and that police are continuing the investigation.
