Station 4 (serving Dollard des Ormeaux):
Station 4 police arrested a 28-year-old Dollard des Ormeaux man after he robbed a 17-year-old Pierrefonds girl late at night near the Sunnybrooke train station recently. The incident occurred March 8 at 12:25 a.m., when the suspect, riding a bicycle, blocked the victim's way and told her 'give me your money, your phone and your Opus card,' and took off on the bike, said Const. Chantal Castonguay of Montreal police Station 4. The victim, noticeably distraught, flagged down a passing motorist and explained what had happened and used the motorist's mobile phone to call 911. The suspect's description was good enough to track him down – this time without the bicycle – on Andras Street in Dollard. The thief ditched the stolen items in the snow and fled on foot, hiding from police in backyards on Ceres Street before being found and arrested in a yard there. Police also discovered the man had a knife on him when searched. The suspect will be charged with night-time trespassing, and armed robbery, police said.
