Station 3 (Ile Bizard, Pierrefonds, Roxboro and Ste. Geneviève)

A pharmacy on Gouin Blvd. near Lalande Street in Roxboro was robbed at knifepoint though the suspect didn't quite score everything he was looking for.

Const. Daniel Maheu reports that at 4:15 p.m., Nov. 2, a man was suspiciously walking up and down the pharmacy aisles. When a clerk offered to help, he asked for information about a particular medication. He was then directed to the cash where he pulled out a hunting knife between 20 and 25cm and demanded the cashier to, "Open the cash and give me the money!" When the cashier complied, the suspect also demanded a supply of Viagra, to which the 20-year-old female clerk replied she didn't have any.

The suspect then ran into the parking lot and into a maroon Ford pick-up truck which was parked near Ste. Suzanne Street. He drove westbound on Gouin Blvd. He appeared to have acted alone.

The suspect is described as an Asian male, approximately 25-years-old, medium build, with dark curly hair, wearing a blue and grey striped sweater and sunglasses.

Station 5 (Dorval and Pointe-Claire)

A Nov. 9 break-in at the Future Shop outlet located in Fairview Pointe Claire shopping centre netted four suspects over $45,000 in several brands of computers.

Const. Hélène Jubinville reports the theft occurred between 1:15 and 3:43 a.m. after the four gained access through a backdoor at the mall leading to a corridor beside the store. They then proceeded to break through the drywall over a 22 x 4 foot span, making five separate attempts before finally breaking through metal security barriers.

The quartet left the store with their booty loaded into hockey bags, one black with red stripes and white lettering.

Police are requesting that anyone in a position to help advance this case contact Sgt. Det. Whissell at 514-280-0905.

Station 4 (Dollard des Ormeaux)

Two men were robbed Nov 1. at the corner of Mirabel and Roger Pilon Streets at 1:10 a.m. Const. Chantal Castonguay said the pair was approached by a trio who asked if they had any money.

When the man replied that he didn't, he was hit in the head with a piece of metal pipe resulting in a four-centimetre gash that required stitches. The trio searched the victim's jacket taking money and a cell phone.

The three fled the scene in a late model four-door grey sedan.

The first suspect is black, approximately 25 years of age, weighing 150 lbs, and is about 5 feet, 5 inches tall.

The second is Hispanic, approximately 25 years of age, weighing 185 lbs, and is about 5 feet, 9 inches tall. He was wearing a baseball cap and dark clothing.

The third suspect is white with long hair. He is approximately 25 years of age, weighing 230 lbs, and is about 6 feet tall. He was wearing a suit jacket.

All three suspects were English-speaking.

The victims were transported to hospital and later discharged. The victims said the suspects were not familiar but that they would easily recognize them should they encounter them in the future.

An attempted theft of a white Honda Accord on Des Arbres Street resulted in major damage to the driver side door, steering column and ignition. Const. Leslie Potts reports the attempt occurred overnight Nov. 9 to 10 between 9:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m.

A suspected fraud occurred when a man received a delivery of a box Nov. 10 between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to his address but not to his name. A subsequent visit from a another man saying he had an arrangement with the previous tenant to take deliveries for him due to his frequent absences was disputed by said tenant.

Examination of the box revealed contents of medical equipment for use in cardiopulmonary resuscitation training. Const. Potts is warning the public not to pay for any medical courses without confirming that they are certified by either Urgences-Santé or the Red Cross.

Station 1 (Baie D'Urfé, Beaconsfield, Kirkland, Ste. Anne de Bellevue and Senneville)

A PIN-pad debit card reader was stolen from the Kirkland Dollarama at 2989 St. Charles Blvd. The theft occurred Nov. 2 around 4 p.m. when someone cut the card reader's connecting telephone wire. Stolen PIN-pads are typically modified and placed back in the same store, or other retail locations where unsuspecting shoppers unwittingly open their bank accounts to fraud after entering their PIN into the modified keypad.

Const. Roberto Del Papa is recommending retailers contact their service providers to secure a lock-down system for PIN-pads to prevent similar thefts.

Police currently have no witnesses or suspects.

An attempted theft at a National Bank outlet Nov. 3 between noon and 8:00 p.m. at 2800 St. Charles left the suspect empty handed. The suspect entered the bank through the employee entrance and attempted to steal a laptop from a bank worker's desk.

His attempt was thwarted by a lockdown cable which was installed on the computer.

Const. Del Papa encourages all employees in public work domains to keep valuable electronic devices like computers and phones either locked or out of sight.

The investigation is ongoing.

A car was stolen Nov. 4 between 10 and 10:45 a.m. from the Kirkland Wal-Mart at 17000 TransCanada. A 1991 blue Chevrolet Corvette was taken from the parking lot. The vehicle's doors were locked and no visible valuables were left in the car.
