General taxes in Kirkland will raise by $10 for the average home evaluated at $402,500 in 2013 the city unveiled last Monday night at a special budget meeting. The 0.4 per cent augmentation comes from a slight hike in agglomeration taxes.
The property tax for residential homeowners will be $1.0099 per $100 of evaluation, down from $1.0595 last year mainly due to the upward evaluation of homes. Last year, the average home was valued at $385,000.
In Pointe Claire, the average tax bill will augment by $43.65 for an average household of $314,000, a 1.36 per cent increase over last year.
