Since last week, The Chronicle's website offers national news thanks to an agreement between the Canadian Press and our Newspaper Group, Quebec and Ontario of Transcontinental Media.

So from now on, cyber readers of westislandchronicle.com can read the 10 most important news of the day renewed in a continuous way and, in certain cases, accompanied with photos.

These national news stories cover many current-event subjects, and therefore becomes a strong addition to the regional content already featured on our websites.

By clicking on one of the events in this box, the cyber reader has access to the complete content of the article, but also all the news archived during the last two weeks.

The Canadian Press along with its broadcast affiliate, Broadcast News, and French-language counterparts, La Presse Canadienne and NTR, is Canada's independent news agency. It groups over 250 journalists and was founded over 90 years ago.
