The North Shore Bantam AAA Cheetahs defeated the Laurentides-Lanaudière Panthères 62-0 in a game that ended in controversy Sunday afternoon at McHugh Field in Dollard des Ormeaux. The game was stopped with just under 10 minutes to do in the fourth quarter due to an altercation between two players. Two players got into a fight after a tackle. The dispute turned ugly and the referee had to stop the match.

“I got a little dirty at the end, one of our players made a hit, their player retaliated and our player retaliated after that. Our player had reason but it was not justifiable. When you’re winning 62-0, we have to have a little more class than that. Besides that it was a pretty good game. I have nothing bad to say about the other team, they weren’t really being dirty. Our team wasn’t really being dirty either but I expect perfection from them,” said Cheetahs’ head coach Michael Diab.

Tore Johnson scored his team’s two first touchdowns early in the game. Tore Hort, Corey Williams, Stintros Paulynice Berrouet, Styles Trudeau-Eatman, A.J. Chase, William Tremblay and Brooklyn Thorne also scored a touchdown a piece for the Cheetahs.
