The new recycling green wheeled bins, which will replace the blue boxes in the recycling pick up service, will be delivered to Dorval residents between June 29 and July 7, 2009.

These wheeled bins, in formats of 120, 240, or 360 litres (depending on the agreement previously reached between residents and the City of Dorval), will allow residents to recycle more efficiently a greater amount of recyclable materials and to preserve the environment even more.

The collection day remains the same (Monday) and residents must identify their bin by writing their address on the white strip on the bin. The wheeled bin remains the property of the City and must be left behind if you move. In the event of a loss, it will be replaced by the Public Works Department. Proof of residence in Dorval will be required to obtain another.

For the bin to be picked up, it must be placed on the property, near the sidewalk or at the curb, or between the ditch and the roadway, in front of the collection unit. The wheels must be turned toward the building. Furthermore, no items deposited outside of the green wheeled bin (cardboards, paper bags, etc.) will be picked up.

An information card will be delivered along with the green bins to explain all the details concerning their use.

For more information on the delivery of the wheeled bins, please contact the Public Works Department of the City of Dorval at 514 633-4046.
