Holdup, Station 1

The Depanneur 7 Jours in Sainte Anne de Bellevue was robbed Sunday night at about 11:20 p.m. by two suspects who walked in on the lone worker there that night and forced him to empty the contents of its cash register, making off with the $600 contained there as well as a small safe.

Station 1 Const. Roberto Del Papa said each man measured around 5 feet 8 and were covered in dark hoods. One of the suspects is black, the other white.

Del Papa said signs of an altercation could be seen on the scene later on by police, as a video rack on display had fallen over.

Alcohol-tested drivers dry as bones, Station 3

Around 1,200 drivers tested for alcohol consumption between 8:30 and 10:30 p.m. Friday night by police officers at the corner of Jacques Bizard and Cherrier during a random police check were completely sober. "Here's proof that people are consuming less and less alcohol when they drive their cars," said Station 3 Const. Dan Maheu.

He said officers did not even administer the breathalyzer test on any driver, judging them all to be in good physical shape after speaking to them. He said vehicles were also verified to see if any contained alcohol.

Mugging, Station 4

Police are on the look-out for two 18-year-old suspects after they attacked a teenager on the corner of Tecumseh and Roger Pilon in Dollard des Ormeaux last Thursday night at around 10:30 p.m. and made off with his backpack in a 4-door, 2004-model, beige Mazda Protégé.

The first suspect is black, measures approximately 5 feet 9 inches, and speaks English, according to Station 4. Const. Chantal Castonguay.

The second suspect is mulatto, weighs 5 feet 6 inches, and has black hair.

The victim, a resident of Ile Bizard/Ste. Geneviève, refused to hand in his cell phone, wallet and backpack on demand by the first suspect, at which point the latter and his friend started attacking him, said Castonguay.

They were only interrupted once a passersby witnessed the event and demanded they stop.

Castonguay said they fled aboard the car, but not before ripping the backpack from the victim's hands and insulting the woman who had intervened on his behalf.

Failed holdup, Station 5

A would-be Pointe Claire bank robber apparently lost his nerve Saturday at about 2 p.m. when a cashier refused to hand him the money he asked for, and ran away fuming.

According to Station 5 Const. Liliana Bellucci, the suspect is a spiky-haired, approximately 40-year-old man, English-speaking man, wearing a sleeveless vest on top of a red, gray and blue square-patterned vest. "I have a gun in my pocket, give me the money, don't make too much noise. I have a gun," he allegedly told the cashier.

After she refused to comply, he simply ran away.

Station 5 officers will be handing out Christmas gift baskets Dec. 16 to the less fortunate, and ask the public to bring them any non-perishable food items to help out, up to that date, at 395 St. John's Boulevard in Pointe Claire.
