Beaconsfield is holding its annual community ‘treasure hunt’ on Saturday.

Beaconsfield residents are invited to place their treasures at the curb for free pickup by other members of the community, essentially a garage sale where everything is free.

Residents are asked to leave any unwanted, yet functioning and useful items, in front of their house by 9 a.m. on Saturday. Uncollected items must be removed from the curb that same evening. Treasure hunters are advised to only take items placed at the curb, nothing from the lawn. All treasures are claimed in an ‘as is’ condition. The event, organized by the Beaconsfield Environmental Advisory Committee, aims to encourage re-using and recycling, city officials stated.
