The Peewee B Faucons hockey team extended their current winning streak to three wins and no defeats or ties with a recent 4-3 home ice victory over the Lakeshore Jaguars. Centre Tyler Teolis centering a line composed of himself and wingers Anthoney Soumas and Alexis Lachance scored the first period’s only goal when he fired a high shot past Jaguars’ goalie Dante Stabile.  For the Jaguars, defenseman Eric Carpanzano had four good shots on Faucons netminder Adam Samoszewski in the first period.  Both Carpanzano and Faucons Tyler Teolis were spectacular in the first period and both left an impression that they would not be out of place playing double letter competitive hockey. In the second period two quick goals by Carpanzano and center Josh Janna sent the visitors into a mid-second period 3-1 lead. Minutes later with the teams playing four-on-four hockey, Timur Grinevic and Gabriel Leblanc combined to set up Faucons centre Samuel Brossard who scored the prettiest goal of the night. Then, with only 1:52 left in the period, call-up Luca Sorice fed a perfect pass to Faucons’ center Frederick Paradis who fired in the tying goal.  In the final frame the Faucons defensive duo of Christopher Stachowski and Sebastien Grenier as well as Jaguars defensemen Anthoney Delvecchio, Patrick Dunlop and Bredan Werbin to mention just a few were outstanding.  Grenier in particular took command for the Faucons in the third period and eventually scored the winning goal to give his team the win. Hats off to both teams who played a hard game with few penalties being called and to the coaches Patrick Paradis of the Faucons and Matt Delvecchio of the Jaguars who both had every player on their respective bench’s involved to the maximum.
