In line with Beaconsfield's Sustainable Action Plan, the Beaconsfield Environmental Advisory Committee is inviting people to get out their bikes, rollerblades or simply enjoy a walk to participate in the Eco Walk & Roll. The goal is to encourage alternative forms of transportation, to reduce our GHG emissions, to get fit and have fun.

There are 3 different routes depending on whether participants are a cycler, roller-blader or walker. Each participant gets a passport which gives them clues on the route. There will be checkpoints where participants carry out environment-themed activities. All routes begin and end at Centennial Park in Beaconsfield. Upon return, everyone will be treated to a great percussionist performance by Baratanga, who plays on anything available, ie. bicycles, rain barrels, recycle bins, etc. Finally there will be a draw for some fabulous prizes for all the participants.

Beaconsfield, Wednesday, April 8, at approximately 1 p.m.
