Come join Engineers Without Borders on Wednesday November 25th from 9am-4pm at our 4th annual “Fair Trade and Locally Made” craft fair. This fair will showcase fair trade and local products and feature local artisans, accessories, Santropol Coffee, jewelry, bags, cheeses, spices, and more!

The goal is twofold: to popularize fair trade products and to promote locally made crafts by Montreal artisans. Furthermore, it provides a great community building opportunity for locals and students to choose ethically sourced holiday gifts!

When: Wednesday November 25th, 9am-4pm

Where: The Ceilidh, Centennial Center, Macdonald Campus, 21111 Lakeshore Road, Ste. Anne de Bellevue

Why buy fair trade?

Fair trade is a trading system which advocates providing fair compensation and decent working conditions to all producers. When we buy coffee from a supermarket, only a fraction of the retail price goes to the producer. Buying fair trade gives rural, small-holder farmers more power by ensuring them livable wages which can be invested in their community and send their children to school. Did you know that you could find the following items fair trade: Coffee, handicrafts, cocoa, chocolate, sugar, tea and many more?
