Unusual cruelty
Editorial
There oughta be a law against cruelly trapping animals for no other reason than to see them die.
Oh, wait.
There is.
Whoever is responsible for the galling and ridiculously cruel death of two adult foxes in snare traps in the wooded lot on the Highway 40 service road west of Fairview Pointe Claire should be dragged out into the woods and hung from a tree.
Not for long, mind you. Just long enough that they get the idea of the fear and pain they inflicted upon the foxes they killed in snare traps that are designed to pull tighter the more the trapped animal struggles.
Not to mention the weeks-old fox pups they orphaned that are currently being fed by a good-samaritan Vanier College student. Al in the name of fun and games, we suppose.
Who are these people? Who is so cruel? Why, in the name of all that is good, didn't someone just call the SPCA if they wanted rid of the foxes?
You know who else got his start in his life's work cruelly torturing animals?
Jeffrey Dahmer.
Give that some thought next time you take a snare trap into the woods.
