In order to improve the development of soccer players and coaches in West Island, Pointe Claire Amateur Soccer Association (PCASA) announced on May 29 the formation of a Technical Committee. Its mandate will be to introduce and manage programs that will increase the knowledge base and performance levels of players and coaches across all age groups.
PCASA Technical Director, Jason Broadhurst, commented: "Soccer is the fastest growing sport in Canada, and we are seeing extraordinary growth in this region. But there is an education gap that needs to be filled."
"We have put together a solid Committee that will bring exciting ideas to soccer development in the West Island," he continued. Mr. Broadhurst will be chair of the Committee, and former Coerver coaching regional director Paul Simard, former AAA player Andrew Moors and Federation de Soccer du Quebec coordinator Valmie Ouellet will complete the team.
"We are still looking to add to the Committee, and we are seeking qualified individuals who want to see soccer develop in this region," added Broadhurst.
With over 2500 members, PSACA is one of the largest soccer clubs in the region. For more information about the club or the committee, visit
