And the winner is … Marché Adonis
The Quebec Order of Architects announced the 14 winners in the 24th edition of the Architecture Awards for Excellence on June 7.
Featured among them was Marché Adonis, the newly designed grocery store with an orange facade and elevated glass windows, located at 4601 Sources Blvd. in Dollard des Ormeaux.
The names have been announced during a news conference held at the Musée national des beaux arts du Québec.
Among the prizes awarded were, the jury’s grand prize, a honourable mention for sustainable development, the Prix Marcel-Parizeau, the People’s Choice, and the Children’s Choice.
The People’s Choice went to the residence Les Abouts by architect Pierre Thibault, and the Children’s Choice was awarded to the Pavillons Lassonde de l'École Polytechnique de Montréal, a project made up of various collaborations.
The jury also presented the Architecture Award for Excellence to 10 winners, including the Marché Adonis in Dollard designed by Les architectes Bourtos & Pratte.
Other winners for this prize were the Pavillon Gene-H.-Kruger de l`Université Laval, the Maison de la Culture Maisonneuve, and the Pavillon du Lac-aux-Castors au Parc du mont Royal.
