Beer run
Three young men stole two cases of beer from a Dollard des Ormeaux convenience store in the early hours last Friday morning, police said.
The men came into the Ultramar store on St. John’s Boulevard at 3:40 a.m. and stole the two cases from a display, sprinting out the door after distracting the clerk, said Const. Leslie Potts. The three suspects are white males about 20 years old. Police are studying surveillance tapes and will continue the investigation.
Car crash
A 25-year-old Pierrefonds woman was injured and taken to hospital after her brother was a little too quick on the accelerator in Pierrefonds Saturday afternoon. The woman injured her neck after her brother pounded the gas on his 2000 Honda Accord despite not having the right of way at the corner of Pierrefonds Boulevard and Harry-Worth Street at 3 p.m. and got himself broadsided — on the passenger side — by a 25-year-old Rigaud man's pickup truck. The woman was taken to hospital, where she remained stable with injuries to her neck and rib area, said Const. Dan Maheu of Montreal police Station 3. No one was charged in the crash.
