A truckload of debris was mysteriously dumped in the driveway of a home in central Pierrefonds one recent afternoon.

For an unknown reason, someone dumped a truckload of construction/landscaping debris in the driveway of a Pierrefonds family’s home in broad daylight earlier this month.
A witness told the homeowners that the mysterious dump took place sometime 1 and 2:30 p.m. on Aug. 7, the time he went by the home and then came back to the area. The debris consisted of rocks, broken cement, earth and wood, said homeowner Hélène Santos.
“I have no idea why someone would do this,” she added. “We’ve lived here for 12 years. I have no enemies. We’re a quiet family with four kids.”
The family spent $400 to hire a contractor to come clean up the refuse on their driveway. It took three men and a backhoe to do the job, she said.
“The city (public works crew) came by to pick up what fell on the street but they said they don’t clean up private property,” she said.
The Santos family filed a complaint with police but they don’t expect it’ll be a “high priority case.”
Const. Dan Maheu of Montreal police Station 3 said the case is open but investigators have little to go on. No other such incidents were reported in the area, he added.
A similar incident took place in Dollard des Ormeaux last fall, except the same home was targeted twice by a mysterious dump about two weeks apart and it took place at 11 p.m. ㌳

Comment online since August 22nd 2007The person who have see the truck dumping, did she see the name of the truck or remember what the guy look like. Peoples do not respect others specially in Pierrefonds. They do what they want neighbor cut there trees they put in your sides. They showels snow they put on your sides. Just this morning big truck turn in our driveway and they do not care about a car there or not. I get hit twice in my parking lot. Where is the respect.
