Volunteer Assisted Services need volunteer drivers that will accompany clients to medical appointments. Parking permits will be issued to each driver and they will be compensated for operating expenses.
The Canadian Cancer Society is still in need of volunteers for their Relay for Life.
The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Quebec is still in need of volunteers to do some office work and help recruit volunteers for their fundraising campaign that takes place in February.
Volunteer West Island is trying to put together a team of volunteers to help with their Senior’s Cafè, which takes place once a month. The team would consist of 5-6 volunteers and it would require about two hours a week. For more details, please contact Yolanda at 514-457-5445, ext.227. They also need volunteers to help with their annual Fundraising Golf Tournament which will take place this summer, please contact Yolanda for details.
The Veteran’s Hospital in Ste. Anne de Bellevue needs volunteers (16 years old or older), to accompany their patients to different activities taking place at the Hospital. The hours are from 6pm to 8pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. They also need volunteers on Sundays to accompany patients to Religious Services from 9:30am to 11:30.

Computer courses for seniors (in French) will start on January 14 (internet) and January 15 (word). The courses last six weeks and are held every Monday and Tuesdays at Volunteer West Island in Ste.
