The temperatures may have dipped a bit over the past week, but the weather forecast says there are a few hot and muggy days coming up. What better way is there to cool down on a sweltering summer’s day than to treat yourself with some ice cream?

Today is the last day to get your Best of the West ice cream nominations in. We all know there are plenty of hot spots to grab that cool treat in the West Island, but with so many places to pick from, choosing the best ice cream parlour can cause a serious brain freeze.

And that’s where you come in.

We’re also gearing up for the very “difficult” task of determining the West Island’s best watering hole in our July 9 issue, so if you have a favourite spot to grab a cold one after work or hang out with friends, we want to hear about it.

In the coming weeks, we’ll also be asking you to send us your nominations for the West Island’s best General Tao chicken, best family destination, and best hot dog, because we just simply can’t determine our Best of the West list without your help.
