Cash robbery
Cash robbery
A robbery took place at the Fairview Pointe Claire shopping centre Monday night. At about 10:20 p.m., two Securicor agents were attacked by two masked men armed with pepper spray as they were dropping off money at a banking machine. The bandits fled with a substantial amount of cash in front of a TD bank ATM machine.

One suspect was described as standing six foot tall and weighing 230 pounds and possibly Caucasian, and his accomplice stands five foot 11 and weighs about 160 pounds. Police believe they drove off in a grey or gold 2005 Ford Taurus, according to Station 5 police.

Securicor was also robbed last year on Christmas Eve in front of a National Bank in Laval.
Video store theft
A video store on Dorval Avenue was the scene of a robbery last Wednesday at 10 p.m. when a suspect entered, made as if he was shopping around for a film, and then proceeded to hold the cashier at gunpoint. He got away with $359. The suspect escaped northbound on Dorval Avenue with the help of an accomplice in a black car. Police describe him as a white man, 5'6 tall, thin, between 120-140 pounds, between 30-40 years old. He was wearing blue jeans, a black cap, a gray sweater, and smoke-tinted glasses.

The theft could be related to another one that occurred three days later, Saturday afternoon at about 4:45 p.m. A man of similar description entered a bakery at Pointe Claire Plaza, and held the cashier at gunpoint, leaving with about $990. He was accompanied by a man who weighs about 160 pounds, measures roughly 5 foot 11, and wore a black coat with white stripes on its sleeves and a cap.
A rude awakening
A resident of Rosedale Street in Dollard des Ormeaux woke up to a very unpleasant surprise last Friday at about 5:45 a.m. Hearing noises from the front yard, he got up and watched a car thief drive away with his red Nissan vehicle. There is no description of the suspect, other than he was a white male, Station 4 police said.
