Hall hauls in the bronze
Pointe Claire resident Tom Hall, 26, made his mark at the Beijing Olympics yesterday, winning a Bronze medal at the c-1, 100-metre canoeing event, with a finishing time of 3:58:82.
This was the first time Hall participated in the Olympics. He had been training with the Pointe Claire Canoe Club to get his chance.
The club met at their centre today at dawn, at about 3:45 a.m., to watch Hall perform.
The athlete recently brought the gold medal home at the Pan American Championships Games.
