Leave it to Gary Bettman to be soundly booed despite having The Roadrunner and the Pocket Rocket on stage with him to open the draft. That should be reason enough to get Bettman out, let alone shutting out Canada in the bidding for the Coyotes.

Did I just worsen George Gillett's "upper body injury"? Hope not. Sorry Mr. Gillett. The outgoing Canadiens owner was the face of mixed emotions when the thanked the Mo-Bros for "coming along at exactly the right time". Gillett gave the thumbs up as he told fans in Montreal "je vous aime!"

Wasn't it great to see Peter Mahovlich hand Evander Kane his Thrashers cap and jersey? One generation of power forward to another. That was proud Concordia grad Don Meehan that Kane hugged right after working his way through the family recieving line at the Bell Centre.
