Lions split a pair
The midget AAA Lac St. Louis Lions suffered only their second defeat of the season in regulation time on Saturday, 3-1 to the Crabtree Draveurs at the Dollard Civic Centre.
The loss came 24 hours after the Lions, paced by a Louis Leblanc hat trick, crushed Montreal 7-1, also at the Civic Centre
Despite the loss, the Lions remain in first place in the CCM division, two points ahead of the Laurentides Vikings heading into this weekend’s two-game road trip in Amos, beginning on Saturday afternoon and wrapping up with a Sunday matinee. It will be the first visit by the Lions to the wilds of northern Quebec since the club was ousted from the playoffs by the hometown Forestiers in game seven of their divisional semifinal last spring.
