Lane closure on Mercier Bridge Jan. 13
The Jacques-Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated wishes to inform the public of the closing of the Montreal bound left lane on the Honoré-Mercier Bridge, Saturday morning starting from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
The closure which is identical to the one announced last December is necessary to allow structural steel maintenance operations underneath the bridge (explaining the visual absence of workers on the bridge).

To facilitate the intervention, it is necessary for us to reduce the weight caused by passing vehicles on the working area and this can only be achieved by closing down the left lane to traffic.

Portable variable message signs will be installed at the entrance of the bridge on Thursday, to warn users of the lane closure in order to minimize congestion as much as possible.

To help prevent potential traffic jams, the Corporation encourages users to consider alternate routes on Saturday January 13.
