Shelter trashed: trail cold, police say
Police are looking for more witnesses to an incident that saw the glass panels in a Dollard des Ormeaux bus shelter smashed to smithereens early Saturday morning by two young suspects.
A witness reported seeing two young men smashing the windows in the shelter located at the corner of Blue Haven and Jourdain streets early Saturday between midnight and 12:15 a.m., said Const. Claire Parkinson of Montreal police Station 4. The pair were using some sort of bar or instrument according to the witness, who was far away from the action, she added.
“We’ve had a lot of problems with that shelter, said Parkinson, who noted the shelters will become even more popular with some real winter weather having finally arrived.
