Three Dictée champions from West Island schools
Three local children will represent West Island at the Grande Finale internationale de la Dictée P.G.L., a dictation competition sponsored by the Paul Gérin-Lajoie Foundation. Brooke Brimo, from Terry Fox Elementary School in Pierrefonds and Alexandre Kishi from St. Anthony Elementary School in Pierrefonds – in the French immersion category – and Wenyue Zhang from l'École Très-Saint-Sacrement in Lachine – in the French class category – were among the 10 champions of the Dictée P.G.L. for the Greater Montreal on March 16. They will be part of the final that will take place on May 20, where they will compete against children from all over Canada, the United States and Senegal.
