JAC’s own Football Hall of Fame
The John Abbott College Football Alumni has announced the creation of a Football Hall of Fame.
The inaugural class of inductees will include George Wall in the coaches category, Dr. Al Legare and John Starkey in the builders category and Michael Soles, a member of the JAC Islanders between 1984-’85 who went to have a long career in the Canadian Football League, and Michael Smallwood, who starred for Abbott in 1977-´79, in the players category.

The inaugural Hall of Fame dinner will be held May 12 at 7 p.m. in the Maisonneuve Room at Labatt’s Brewery in LaSalle. Tickets are $65 each and are limited. To reserve your tickets, call coach Lou Chapman at John Abbott College at 514-457-6610 ext. 5287 or coach Ted Wall at ext. 5257.
