TORONTO - A 17-year-old Toronto youth is facing 26 charges for allegedly committing a slew of robberies in the past 10 weeks.
The youth is accused of five incidents between April 20 and July 4. In an April attack, police allege the youth grabbed a person from behind and emptied their pockets while covering his face with a bandana.
Police say two attacks in June involved threatening victims with a knife if they didn't hand over possessions.
In July, the accused allegedly held a knife to the throat of one person and the stomach of another while demanding money.
Charges against the youth, who can't be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, include nine counts of robbery, six of disguising himself with intent and six dangerous weapons charges.
