FORT MCMURRAY, Alta. - Police in Fort McMurray, Alta., have laid charges in a shooting last week that injured three people.
Abdi-Fatah Muktar Salad, 23, of Fort McMurray has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and other related charges.
He is set to appear in court on July 28.
RCMP said two of the people targeted in the shooting were in stable condition in hospital and a third male was released.
On June 26, police cordoned off the neighbourhood surrounding the shooting scene and told residents they could not leave their homes while officers searched for suspects.
About 50 staff and students at Father Beauregard elementary school were locked inside the school as a precaution for nearly seven hours.
