SASKATOON - The trial of a man accused of killing a 92-year-old woman has heard the woman's grandson discovered her dead on the floor of her flooded Saskatoon home.
Anna Hein was killed in 1999, but police only made an arrest two years. Larry Sheldon McLeod is charged with first-degree murder. Court heard Hein had an 11-centimetre cut across her throat and her dress was pushed up above her waist.
There were eggshells between her legs and a cucumber and bloody knife nearby.
The doctor who examined her also said she had two stab wounds - one punctured her heart and caused her death.
