LINDSAY, Ont. - The Ontario Court of Appeal has ordered a new trial for a former marina owner near Lindsay, Ont., who was convicted of murder in 1999.
Michael John Reeve will again face a first-degree murder charge in connection with the 1998 death of David Charles Hanson. Hanson's body was found behind the wheel of his submerged car in the Trent Canal, several days after he was reported missing.
Reeve had sold his marina to Hanson, who hired Reeve to manage it.
Reeve's appeal was heard last December and a preliminary hearing for the new trial will begin on June 30th.
