TORONTO - Police have issued a murder warrant for the arrest of a Toronto man after an innocent bystander was fatally shot outside a bar early Saturday.
Bailey Zaveda, 23, of Toronto, died and four others were injured when a man fighting with another man opened fire outside the Duke of York tavern.
Det. Sgt. Gary Giroux said Sunday that a post-mortem revealed Zaveda died of multiple gunshot wounds to the torso.
Giroux told a news conference the suspect is well known to police and considered "an extremely violent man."
He said the victim lived alone in the city, and her "devastated" parents had to drive several hours to identify her body.
Kyle Weese, 24, is wanted on a charge of second-degree murder.
