Gusty winds responsible for 1 death, knocks down tree limbs, in Alta., Sask.

EDMONTON - A man was killed north of Edmonton after a tree blown down by high winds fell on his vehicle.
RCMP say David Panas, 60, died when the car he was in was hit by a large tree while driving through Sandy Beach on Saturday. The driver of the vehicle was Panas's wife. Police say she was not injured. Police said there were "extreme" wind gusts at the time of the crash.
Fire officials in Edmonton say they've been inundated with reports of downed branches, downed power lines and siding flying around some neighbourhoods.
There was a brief power outage that affected at least parts of West Edmonton Mall, but it didn't last long and didn't disrupt operations.
Winds gusts of over 80 kilometres per hour were reported in the Edmonton region.
In Saskatoon, some large pails in the yard of a home improvement centre were sent flying as winds gusted over 70 kilometres per hour.
Environment Canada has issued wind warnings for several areas of central and northern Alberta and southern Saskatchewan.
