RIVERTON, Man. - A search is underway for a teenage boy who is believed to have drowned in a river in Manitoba's Interlake.
RCMP say the 14-year-old was swimming with friends near a government dock on the Icelandic River in the community of Riverton.
He dove off a boat with two other youths to swim to a nearby tube, but failed to surface.
The boy was about 45 metres from shore when he disappeared.
RCMP say foul play is not suspected.
They have brought in a police dive team to help in the search.
