LEDUC, Alta. - Police do not suspect foul play in the death of a woman whose body was found in a ditch south of Edmonton.
The body was found by another woman who was walking to a service station to get help for her broken-down vehicle not far from Leduc. A medical examiner has not yet determined the actual cause of death.
RCMP have not released the name of the 45-year-old female, pending notification of her relatives.
She did not have a fixed address, although it's believed she was originally from Hobbema, Alta.
Police say it's not known how long her body was in the ditch, but she was last heard from on July 23 and was reported missing six days later.
