REGINA - An RCMP investigation into suspicious activity involving Saskatchewan children is expanding.
Police say a white or Metis man in a white van with tinted windows has been approaching children ages eight through 14 and offering them candy to get in his vehicle.
So far there have been 14 reports in nine communities north and east of Saskatoon.
Sgt. Carole Raymond says the man is not only targeting First Nations children.
She says in one instance a nine-year-old boy was assaulted, grabbed and thrown into the vehicle.
The incident prompted an investigation by RCMP detachments in Yorkton and Prince Albert, as well as the major crimes unit.
