The inaugural Concours regional d’art oratoire, a public speaking competition in French, was held on April 21 at Dorval’s Sarto Desnoyers Community Centre. The event, hosted by Canadian Parents for French (CPF) Québec, involved students from the Lester B Pearson School Board. “The quality of the speeches was superb and reflects the dedication of the students, their teachers and parents in preparation for this event,” said CPF-Québec President Martine Delsemme.

The winners, Bushra Sultana, (secondary 3 and 4 Enriched French), Li Ming Parise, (secondray 3/4 Core French), and Seharish Noor Khan (secondary 5 Enriched French) will advance to the Concours provincial, scheduled for May 12 at Concordia University.
