West Island Citizen Advocacy is always looking for a match that can make all the difference.

The Pointe Claire agency has for 30 years matched caring individuals with people in need in their community. The non-profit organization is always in need of new volunteers.

The group covers a broad spectrum, ranging from the elderly and the disabled, to people who suffer from physical and intellectual handicaps.

New advocates undergo a coaching session to help them identify expectations and obstacles they may encounter. They are expected to commit to a couple of hours every two weeks, whether it’s for a chat over a cup of coffee, transportation to the dentist, or grocery shopping.

West Island Citizen Advocacy is located at 68 Prince Edward Ave. in Pointe Claire’s Valois library building.
